Summertime Record Summertime Record is the official ending and last song and music video of the Kagerou Project. The song tells what happens with Mekakushi Dan and with the characters after the end of the story. The Good End of the story, it describes how the Dan comes back together again after everything is over and they have lost their eye powers. However, having grown up and become "adults", they can hardly remember themselves and each other from their times in the Dan anymore. They say goodbye to each other, and if they can remember they will all meet again. The Kagerou Project, also known as "Kagerou Daze", is a Vocaloid song series created by Jin (also known as Shizen no Teki-P). The story revolves around the Mekakushi Dan, a group of teenagers with unusual eye-related powers. The series became popular on the video sharing website Niconico after the release of the song "Kagerou Daze", which also gave the series its name. The song has amassed over 3 million views and is the most popular song of the project. Five light novels have been released, written by Jin and illustrated by Shidu. A manga adaptation with illustrations by Mahiro Satō, began serialization in Monthly Comic Gene on June 15, 2012. A 12-episode anime adaptation titled Mekakucity Actors (メカクシティアクターズ Mekakushiti Akutāzu, lit. "Blindfold-city Actors") ("Mekakucity" being a portmanteau of "mekakushi" ("blindfold") and "city"), directed by Akiyuki Shinbo and produced by Shaft, aired between April 12 and June 28, 2014.
